Bringing a Warm Spring to Cần Giờ With Spring Fair – Biomass

Tết is not only a time for family reunions but also an opportunity to share and spread love. Understanding this, Biomass continues its annual charity program, “Bringing Tết to Distant Places,” with a mission to bring the festive spirit to those in need.

This year, Biomass chose Cần Giờ as the destination, bringing over 20 booths to serve the local community. The event was carefully planned to support 300 families and 300 children, creating a meaningful and joyful festival.

Cần Giờ – A Coastal Land Close Yet Struggling

Cần Giờ is not just a coastal district near Saigon; it is a place where Biomass has been deeply connected for many years, witnessing the growth of many local children through our support. Despite its proximity to the bustling city, life in Cần Giờ remains challenging. Many families rely on clam harvesting and seafood farming for a living, residing in humble homes along the roadside. For Biomass, bringing Tết to Cần Giờ is not just about providing material gifts but also about delivering hope and encouragement to the community.

The Tết Fair – A Labor of Love from Biochem

From January 17, Biomass’ logistics team worked tirelessly to set up tents, decorate the space, and organize supplies. Every detail was meticulously prepared with one goal in mind: to create a warm and loving Tết fair for the people of Cần Giờ. Despite the scorching sun and sudden rain showers, the preparation process was carried out with dedication. Every aspect of the event was carefully planned to ensure that the local residents would receive the best possible experience.

Morning – A Tết for Families

By 7:00 AM, Biomass employees were busy arranging the booths, ensuring everything was ready. By 8:00 AM, over 300 households had gathered at the Cần Giờ cultural center, eagerly anticipating the event.

The fair featured 10 essential goods stalls, including instant noodles, rice, canned fish, sugar, salt, fish sauce, soy sauce, eggs, cooking oil, and dishwashing liquid. Additionally, there were hot noodle soup stations and iced tea stands to provide refreshments under the hot Cần Giờ sun.

All items were sold at a symbolic price of 2,000 VND, allowing families to experience the joy of shopping for their Tết essentials. Ms. Nguyễn Thanh Hiền, CEO of Biochem, delivered a New Year’s speech and received a medal of appreciation from the local authorities.

The morning was filled with excitement as popular items such as instant noodles, fish sauce, sugar, and cooking oil quickly sold out. By noon, the Biomass team was exhausted but still full of joy and ready for the afternoon session.

Afternoon – A Fun-filled Tết for Children

While the morning was dedicated to families, the afternoon was reserved for the laughter and excitement of over 300 children.

This year, the children’s gift booths were expanded with a wide range of items, including plush toys, hats, keychains, socks, face masks, accessories, travel bags, school supplies, snacks, and treats. The homemade milk tea booth became a crowd favorite, attracting not only children but also adults.

The school supplies booth was particularly popular, helping children prepare for a new academic year. The snack corner was equally lively, offering small toys and colorful candies that brought joy to the young attendees.

A New Tết Experience – A New Way to Give

Unlike previous years, Biomass did not distribute gifts directly but instead organized a fair where everything was priced at 2,000 VND. This approach allowed families to experience the joy of shopping for their own Tết necessities, making their preparations more meaningful.

With just a few small coins, everyone could share in the happiness of personally choosing and buying the essentials for their New Year celebrations.
